About the Publisher
Established in 1982, Hill House Publishers™ Pty. Ltd. (Melbourne and London) specializes in publishing science and nature books of exceptional quality. In addition to Explore Evolution, its books include standard reference works on the Butterflies of the World (24 volumes, 1971-2006/7); monographs on the Saturniid Moths and the Hawkmoths; regional works on the Lepidoptera of Ceylon, Tanzania, South East Asia; a monograph on the Tropical Land Snails of the World (Hemmen); and 21 volumes in facsimile of the entire 46-volume output of John Gould (1804-1881) from originals contained in libraries of the Natural History Museum (NHM) in London. The books on the Lepidoptera (author, Bernard d’Abrera) were based on the peerless collections of the NHM, and are arguably of the highest quality ever achieved in printing and binding of fine scientific books. A publishing partner of the NHM, Hill House Publishers™ was awarded an exclusive licence by the museum to produce authentic facsimiles of priceless and rare antiquarian books, prints and maps from the world famous libraries of that institution.
